Congratulations Steve - good research paid off and corrected an error that could have (and likely has) impacted other cars.

Your experience shows us all what it takes to win this achievement. It takes more than just a nice car, it takes an exceptional car and a lot of hard work. Congratulations.

and being a really annoying, old curmudgeon who doesn't take no for an answer, sure helps too! ;-)

(Thanks Frank. Your starter was the first one to corroborate my initially "way too early" starter.)

You earned it, the car deserves it, and the hobby learned from it, that is all pretty important. Grats!

I just got my March, 2017 Hemmings Muscle Machines. It has the 2016 MCACN coverage. There's a nice shout out to Enrico and Lenora in there as well as a photo of their car.

That's Bentwheelbob's awesome buccaneer red Trans Am on the Vintage Certification inspection rack there too.

Steve, the only thing more impressive than the car was the driving/performance report Enrico authored on the car when it was new. You should take great pride in the achievement and your efforts to share the car, findings and of course reuniting Enrico and Lenora with their car. Well done......

That photo was taken during the night after the cars were moved around. When it was finally parked they were amazingly very close to a clocked position. When on the lift, I think the judges were happier to have it clocked with the DOT date codes at the bottom where they could see them.

Seeing that we already have the bigger "boat," that would seem prudent.

Hey, it's got a 460 with 10.75 to 1 compression!

And I just got the good news that it will be in the April 2017 issue of Hemmings Classic Car. They photographed it along with Gramma's '75 Firebird, back when they did the feature photos of Enrico's car.

I just got the heads-up that Hot Rod has a nice article on the Vintage Certification at MCACN and it features some coverage of Enrico's Formula. Even has their 50th wedding anniversary photo taken at the show.
