Thanks for the reply,your thoughts really reflected many of my ideas and concerns.A oil temp gauge was a top priority as well as a larger oil pan.After break in and switching to synthetic I will have a good idea of what I need to do.Sounds like a good plan.My block is filled to the bottom of the waterpump holes.
