Recently I noticed a sign at the local Quick Trip advertising non ethanol fuel. Got real excited until I pulled up to one of the pumps and realized the non ethanol is only available on the 87 octane grade. I was hoping to get 93 octane with no ethanol. Have any of you found
premium non ethanol available anywhere?

Some Kansas City QT stores are 91 octane No Ethanol. Also some Hy Vee Stores. I was excited when I saw the No Ethanol at the QT in Wichita/ElDorado until I saw it was 87.

Most of the gas stations carry 91 non ethanol around here.

If you can't find any in your area, & you really want ethanol free, you may have to go with the 87 and a booster, that really works, like the Torco Accelerator.

It's incredible how much better non-ethanol works in yard/farm equipment in storage ... haven't had to disassemble anything since I started using it in the equipment. A must have for chainsaw premix, mowers, generators etc.
I have a high performance 2001 performance bike that loves the 91.

Ethanol is the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the motoring public. I fully support those that WANT to use it, pure or otherwise ... but forcing on the rest of us was a bad deal.

We can buy VP Racing fuel here at the tracks and the parts store I hang out at. It is expensive.... even more at the drag strips.

All we have around here is 90 octane marine fuel (no ethanol).

Only place close to me is the small airport up the road, which is leaded 100 octane aviation fuel. It's fine for older engines, but with the LS power plants I have it'll kill the sensors quick.

I wish more stations around here sold non leaded straight gas.

IDK, My little LSx ran on 110. Sensors did alright but the Innovate wideband didn't like the lead. Should have ran a AEM Uego wideband instead.

Interesting how its different in everyones markets.

It was nothing but ethanol in all grades here in Green Bay for about 2 years ago until Kwik Trip came in with non ethanol premium 91. within about a year, other stations were not selling much premium & everyone was lined up with power sports equipment at kwik Trip. fast forward another 12 months and now all my local stations have non ethanol premium, but std & mid grade is ethanol grade.

I haven't seen standard 87 non ethanol fuel in many years.

Non-Ethanol fuel, even at the lower octane rating, will probably run better in an engine with a carburetor. In other words, if you can only get 90 octane rated fuel non-ethanol, I would try a tank vs 93 octane with 10% ethanol. The reason 93 is hard to find ethanol free is the ethanol is a cheap way for the refiners to gain 1-3 octane points without expensive additives. The problem is the 10% ethanol although it raises the octane rating, it also has less BTU value than pure gasoline. In addition, the ethanol raises the vapor pressure of the fuel which plays hell on carburetors, not much of an issue with FI. So it's not surprising that lower octane fuel will run better in cars and power equipment if alcohol free. Buy it if you can find it.

Generally can't fill your street car up at the pump, but a few 5-gallon cans put you in business.

Otherwise I run 91 eth-free premium in my '67 GTOs.

Maybe the situation around this area will evolve as it appears to have done in other places. I'll keep an eye on the Quick Trip signs to see if higher octane non ethanol ever becomes available.

Can find it in my local area. Mirabito - Crown - and recently found a Gulf station that carries it. all 91 octane. Most airports in N.Y. and Pa. won't sell you 100 LL in a jug unless you have an End number for an airplane. You either have to know someone at the airport or you have to find a small air strip were you can access the pumps and use a credit card. My buddy use to run av-gas in his shifter carts ,and no one will sell it to him in the Harrisburg Pa. area.And he works for a regional airline.

We have a station near High Point, NC with 93 alcohol free gas. It is more expensive.
