Listening to the Podcast, Chief was messing with him at the line during staging.
Alex had ample testing in the car, Motorplex and then in Fontana to know how to stage and launch it.
Personally, I don't think they took the SO gang seriously, and got schooled in street racing tactics.
Add in Richard with his "how could you lose" attitude and it was over before the second round started.

All that matters is they showed Pontiac Engines were still good engines.

I doubt it cares what it runs over, but Elephant Poacher or Rat Poison works just fine.

I'm kinda surprised Chief would want Richard in the lane next to him. He already lost one car due to another drivers mistake. I sure wouldn't want a totally inexperienced guy in a low 4 second car in the lane next to me! Even if he had been to a drag racing school. There is a real good chance that Richard would put the thing in the wall and take Chief with him!

Are the E-Heads Chief uses different from Edlebrock RAIV heads that we can buy? I believe the ones we put on our Butler 467 were rated at 300 cfm.

Pretty much all this proves is turbos with a little nitro mixed in can make any head look good. Makes you wonder how fast a set of iron d-port or round ports could go with turbos.
Disclaimer, you have to know how to get the car to work and apply the power and chief and crew most differently know how to do that.

If it's that simple you should strap a couple of hair dryers on your hi-ports and show the world how it's done. 3.50's should be a slam dunk!

Now your being a jerk. Your saying that Justin's e heads will make more power then any other Pontiac head out there. If that was the case how come Justin couldn't qualify at Indy?

Didn't mean to be a jerk....Justin skull dragged every other car at Indy running stock style heads like he has.

After 700 hp on the street it becomes very hard to hook a car. Those guys know how to tune a suspension and yes there traction control helps but they are good, real good.
Last street race I was at 2, 8 second cars, 1/4 mile race, wow they come by fast on the top end.
I know some do not like it but it is impressive to see cars hanging the front tires for 300 feet on the street.

The 405 takes it to a real high level. I do like fast small tire cars better. It's even more impressive.

Chief specifically said in the podcast he does not run traction control.
