I had my 17 year old nephew staying over the weekend.Sunday 5 of his buddies came to pick him up.They have heard about my street car and wanted to see it.I'm in the process of swapping shortblocks etc..so both shortblocks are on engine stands in front of the car and parts laying around..so they had a good look.As soon as one guy got a good look..he said you have a "Crow" engine..I just laughed and said well not quite..but yes its a Pontiac.They asked a lot of questions about what I was doing and checking the car out.
Its was pretty cool to see a bunch of kids in their late teens knowing what a Pontiac engine looks like and to be interested in it. Sure some of the show has to be scripted or planned but the cars and the guys are real. Its just damn cool a old Pontiac motor is in Chief's car and he has the sickness like the rest of us.
