Anyone able to look up what the part number for 70 GTO oil pressure sending unit-with rally gauges? My current one works fine just does not "look" correct. As I recall the unit should be black in color? Mine is the common "gold". Looking to buy one and I am guessing this won't be cheap! Thanks, Jimmy

I don't have my MPC here to check the original part number but I see them on eBay from time to time, I think $500 is the going rate and being in a box for 49 years I'd have my doubts about the diaphragm being sound. Maybe a bit of black rattle can ;-)

6462137 is the correct part number. For 70-71 they were black but the ones I have seen on 72+ Olds were just the gold cad zinc/cad plating. I have seen other gm numbers that look identical, are 80 lb units, and have the 1/8 NPT fitting that go on Ebay as well. These get priced up too but not as bad. I have a few of these off-numbered ones i have picked up over the years.

GM still makes this sender brand new, identical shape, but different part number and of course date code. IIRC, its a duramax diesel oil pressure sender, I think it wrote it down somewhere, see if I can find the new number. It took me a few years to find a nice working one with the right date code. For the time being, paint the cad one and keep your eye out.
