I've came across a 62 Star Chief I'm considering taking a look at. It appears to be in great mechanical condition, but it will need some cosmetic work. Paint, body, interior, etc. It will need seat covers and carpet. Does anyone make reproductions? I can't seem to find anything for a 4 door hard top 62?
Thanks |

I doubt anyone has off the shelf interiors for a Star Chief four door, it would have to be made.
Tom, do you mean SMS? https://www.smsautofabrics.com The carpet will be the same as a Bonneville of the same body style. |

Sure. Bonneville seat covers will work but they're a different pattern and just won't be 'correct' for a Star Chief. You can go here to look at the factory brochure to see the differences: http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/stati...re/index1.html

"Quality" paint/body/factory correct interior= much more than this car would ever be worth...........just my $.02. These old cars are very expensive to resurrect!

Very true. For the enjoyment of it. On a side note...anyone know where to get 62 Bonneville bench seat covers? Can't seem to find covers for a 62 Poncho bench seat anywhere. Will other years fit?

My '61 has Impala seats in it as well as door panels, it doesn't look too bad but I want to change the color some day. I'm not doing a points restoration on this car so whatever "fits" is good enough.
