That thing is moving. Can we get some info on the differences in heads and the build in general. Was the same cam used with both heads ? What was the cfm of the E heads ? 430cfm HP, so they are pretty serious.

The old motor was a stock block filled to the water holes. The E Heads I bought from Jeff V. back in 2005 and the cam I bought from his engine builder Jerry Loan. The head flowed around 330 cfm. The new motor is a 535 MR1.

I was shifting at 7000 rpm. Going to try 7200. I was going thru the lights at 8000 rpm. I think I am going to put my 390 gears back in.

How do I check how much the convertor is slipping?

Take your rpm at the stripe and compare it to what the number is when you take mph, rear gear and tire height.

We put the motor on the dyno when the heads flowed 400 cfm and it made 872 hp and I think it was 770 ft lbs of tq.

145.31 x 4.30x 336/29.5 = actual rpm(7116)
I didn't know what tire your running i guessed at 29.5 and if right your slipping almost 900 rpms on top, if taller its worse even.

Going by Darby's numbers, that's 11% slippage.
