Dan was just slow, he was working another machinist job for years because of the benefits. He had the block for a decade, yes a decade+. In fact he dies before he finished it. I paid for a torque plate bore and hone and deck. Just glad to get the engine back. i will have it finished locally. Hard part of it was done. Splayed billet caps were fit correctly.
I am having Scott Brown spec me a cam almost just like Jakes. Tad bigger as it will have 4.25 crank. 350cfm High Ports, pump gas deal. Very close to same engine but with 1/4" more stroke.

Is this block filler the same as Sakrete cement patch filler? I'm trying to buy a hydraulic cement over here to fill blocks with but not having much luck.

That has been my experience as well. The engine runs cooler with a short fill.
