Pretty sure that a striped out 5/16 threaded hole would be to big to accept a 1/4 20 helicoil

Let's just say this project has had some "bumps". Ray of hope shining, despite losing a season. Unchained by non-correctness is fun. Cliff supplied cam, roller. Praying for a run before winter. We've had snow already. Be kind, "It's A Driver"

Thanks y'all. Chris at C&C Performance here in Kalispell MT is doing work. I should give them credit, they are talented. They have affiliated painter who did mix on engine paint, he did well it seems. He (Mitch's) will do my minor lower L door paint repair in spring, he will spend he estimates most of a day on getting mix right to not do a big "blend & fade" job on car. The aged Revere greenish silver is a toughie. He also is really good.

The engine wiring harness is different too. My 72 has an inline fuse(factory) for the alternator that my 71 does not for one.

If you convert to US dollars that is only $3500 and it does have the correct carb . I don't think that is a bad deal.

This one sure is.... interesting.
Cool original specs: 455 HO, 4-speed, posi and nothing else, plus original window sticker Unfortunately a lot of its "originality" is gone https://www.ebay.com/itm/1971-Pontia...5aylBx&vxp=mtr

Yeah, but how much fun would this car be on cruise nights and test-n-tune nights at the drag strip!
Wait...was that eBay ad one great big long sentence? IN All CAPS? Still, very cool car. BJ

Car is ruined for a cruiser. Its well overpriced for its super tiny market, which would want all its racing history with pics.
Might be a good car to bring to Norwalk to drag race, that's about it. Change order was rear gears it seems, but that rear is history too. I dont see this car getting many more miles. To expensive to fix, and nothing left in driveline. Just a race car shell. Hope he gets half what hes asking... It is "cool" in its own right as ordered just for this purpose, going straight. |

I find this story very hard to believe. 9 miles when he got it. That would be at most maybe 10-12 times down the track. “1/4 at a time “. First you need to get to the line then go 1/4 then shut Down a 1/4 then drive back to your pit. Not buying the story or the car. Lol
