Hell, I'm an idiot - of COURSE that's not a GTO, it has a Lemans front nose! How the hell did I miss that the first time??

Isn't that one too many 9s there?
As in his odo has rolled over 45 times.

For that price you'ld think the seller would have went the extra mile and got the horn button kit for the custom wheel.

But yet another that well belongs in the epic list

My guess is the owner just didn't know what engine the car was supposed to have. The window sticker would have said 400 2BBL. Which would have been the correct base engine for that car. Unless it had a reverse transplant to an older engine and they put 400 valve covers on it. With the low mileage, I wouldn't think it would have needed an engine replaced? Hard to say with a 50+ year old car. From the single pic, my guess is it is the original 400 2bbl. that was attacked with a few cans of spray bomb Pontiac blue paint, incorrect color to boot.

Yeah, as far as I know, the base engine for a big car in '67 would have been a 400. I think they retired the 389 once the 400 was available. No need for it.

That thing is kind of awesome. Totally, unabashedly, outlandishly bad.

That's actually a pretty cool car, although I doubt they'll find any buyers at the $60k asking price.

Good God! I wonder how many PBR's were consumed during this "Build"? https://roseburg.craigslist.org/pts/...561343750.html

Looks more like a "Natty Light" production.

I remember that car from the giveaway. If there was ever a time to try and extract maximum $$$ for a car like that, this is it. All kinds of abused, neglected, "barn finds" are bringing money that makes me shake my head in disbelief. This one truly is a time capsule with lots of paperwork to back it up. I would not be surprised if it finds a new home for way more than it's worth.
