Looks like split-back bench seat to me... Not sure those covers are original. I don't recall seeing that type of cloth cover on Pontiacs from that era.

I'd love to see it with both doors open ... hard to believe those rear doors stay in alignment. Does it just have a post to hold the hinges? Wonder if they used a standard frame on a hardtop four door.

I don't know. Being a 'lowly' 350 3-speed, a full restoration might take more $$$$ than the car is worth finished. Seller says solid trunk & floor pan but it does need rear quarter panels and I bet there is a lot more hidden rust in the nooks & crannies than he knows about. I'd offer him $3,000 but I bet he'd take 3500-4000. Probably even take the 3 grand if you waved the cash in front of him. That would be a fair deal.
*edit* I bet he just got (found) it for half what he's asking, and is flipping it.

I'll tell you this; I'd choose this Formula over that Aerosmith van any day.
It's my favorite '71 color and personally, I dig the 350 3-speed on the floor combination.
I'd fix the quarters, rust proof the under carridge with used 90W and drive it like Jim Rockford.

We had a 62 Cadillac and it had power vent windows, and my mother liked to kinda hook her finger around the post. One day I was taking her to the store and I'd hit the wrong button and closed the vent window on her finger without realizing it!! She was trying to holler but nothing was coming out and it must have been a minute or two before I realized what was going on! Needless to say, after that she kept her hands in her lap while in the car with me!
