He didn't want to bothered to make new ones if they didn't sell large volumes. Because the Keep Your GM Car GM decals were pretty specific to the make/model/application, '70 Pontiac alone probably had over 14 decals. He would have to pay royalties to GM on each of the designs.

Wouldn't the '70 GTO use an RM decal too?
(because in my mind, it would be logical that they would be the same)
