The Envision is the model that compares to the GMC Terrain and Chevy Equinox, not the Acadia.

Once again, the Envision is the model that is built in China. I didn't think you wanted any foreign crap...

I’m talking size wise I want a mid size SUV, not the bigger one. Funny thing I asked the dealer about where they’re made, and they told me here in the U.S. I will shop around, and if it’s true the car is made in China, That one will be off my list for sure. Maybe I’ll just run the crap out of my Mercury then decide.

I stopped being a GM fan when they killed off Pontiac. My anti-GM stand intensified when kids were dying in their cars and GM told the parents that it was their kid's fault. Screw GM

In 2009 I wanted a Muscle car. Pontiac had nothing for me, so I tried to buy a Mustang California Special convertible, the dealer had the car 6 months, I had cash, they wouldn’t deal, so I went to Dodge and bought a Challenger R/T. IMO best looking retro make and model back then. Did a buy back on it last year, to get my Bandit TA. My Mercury is a 2008, time for something new.

Challenger is a better choice. My buddy in Charlotte has a Mustang. As long as you don't have to get in and out of it or ride in it, they look great.

The Envision is considered a compact SUV - not a midsize. It is the same basic size as the Terrain and the Equinox.

I've told you that it is built in China multiple times. If your dealer is telling you it is built here, I wouldn't buy a set of floor mats from THAT dealer.

I agree, the Mustang was like our 75 Vettes basically sitting on the floor. That Challenger was very easy on this old body lol. I truly loved everything about that car, but didn’t drive it much, and the opportunity came to finally get the 78 TA, that I’ve been wanting since 1977. So the decision was made something had to go, and it wasn’t going to be my 69. So I did a dealer buy back on the Challenger, and sold the 69 firebird coupe I had to a member here, and bought my dream car otherwise known as BURT. that custom made plate will be put on him when I un veil him to the public.

My wife and I bought a 2019 Traverse Premier with all the bells & whistles. We love it!

I've owned a Chevy Traverse, recommended that Acadia to a friend who bought a used one and loves it, I currently own a (pre-owned but Cadillac-certified) 2014 Cadillac SRX-4 (I test drove and looked at Enclave's when car-shopping this last time, price was the only factor that held me back). The Traverse/Acadia/Enclave line has the same motor with different HP ratings. Also the same motor that's in my Cadi, the 3.6L V6. In the Traverse (2010 I believe) it was rated around 280HP I think, in the Cadi it's 310 or so. The Enclave was probably 300HP, don't know about the Acadia. Amazing what GM has done with a V6. The motor is great and you won't have any problems with it either way, very, very strong and all you will need even in an XUV that size (and these AWD versions are pretty heavy).

The Traverse/Acadia/Enclave line-up handles very well. The Traverse I owned had great cargo capacity with third-row seating, I travel with dogs so there was lots of room for both (a 35LB dog and a 90LB dog) in the back with both second and third rows folded down, great cargo space and all three models should have the same cargo room. Gas mileage may not be the best because that motor runs so awesome you won't want to drive it easy, and they handle like sports cars. They all have great available features including OnStar and satellite radio, GPS mapping and back-up camera, multi-zone climate control. I would recommend any of the GM models because I've owned and ridden in them all and they are very well-engineered. Just ended up with a used Cadi because of features and price.

As I mentioned Hubby won’t own a Chevy unless is a classic Vette, in which we had 2 of them. If I were to get a Chevy it would be the new Blazer. He holds the funds, I initially wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee but got a NO go to the Jeep and the Blazer, And now looks like the Envision is out as well because of the info on it being produced assembled in China. I can’t win.

It makes no sense to me why a Chevy is out, but that still leaves you with both the GMC Terrain and Acadia - and both are great options.

The Terrain is the equivalent to the Buick Envision and the Chevy Equinox and the Acadia is in between the Terrain/Envision/Equinox and the Enclave.

I still suggest you choose a different dealer than the one that lied to you about the Envision being made in China.

I just bought a 2019 Canyon SLT Crew to go with my 2017 Sierra SLT. It's a very nice riding midsize truck with a great deal of room in the cab.

So went yesterday and drove both the GMC and the Buick, I think I’m leaning towards the GMC, but still not 100% sold on it.
