The repair bushings go in the holes [2]on the countershaft[z-bar] & 1 in the clutch pedal hole. If your 3 holes are elongated from wear it takes the slop out & the bind from metal to metal . Generally the male ends of the countershaft get a cut mark in the ends as does the clutch adjustment rod . You would weld the cut mark & file fit it to fit the new bushings & drill [3/8] the 3 holes to accept the repair bushings& put a dab of good grease Very smooth pedal feel.

Interested as I was about to order a new Z-Bar due to it having an elongated hole.
Mind sending me some pics of the bushings? Is welding 100% required? emailchristian (at) gmail (dot) com Thanks! |

The elongated holes would need to drilled to 3/8" to accept the repair bushing , check both holes on zbar & the clutch pedal hole as well . Welding is only required to fix the male ends on the zbar linkage from the pedal to zbar ends & clutch adjustment rod end . Also makes a nice smooth pedal feel . email sent.
