My current racer is a Pro Formula Mazda road racer, about 1070 pounds, powered by a Mazda Renesis rotary engine like the Mazda RX-8 street car uses.

I converted mine to methanol and built my own turbocharger kit and picked up a good bit of power and performance.

Big fun.

Cheers,

Yes, welcome Eddie Hill! How nice to have you here and nice to know you are a believer. I am as well.

It would be so nice if you could answer some questions from back in the day. These are of historical significance for fan of Pontiac power such as myself. Am planning a Pontiac Heaven museum here in Arizona. I have a few vintage blown, nitro Pontiac race cars plus my own Pontiac powered nostalgia Top fueler.

Would you be willing to answer Pontiac drag racing related questions from the day? I realize it was a long time ago but, if you are willing, it would be apprecited.
1 we could either do it here on this thread that I started
2 we could start a separate thread
3 I can ask you privately through messaging here
4 or perhaps an interview
5. I host an annual Pontiac powered event each year in Phoenix.Would you be interested in being a guest? my next event weekend is November 1-3.
6. I would love to meet you sometime. Is this possible?
thank you for your consideration and Blessings to you and yours sir.

Hi, Steve,

Between our 500 acre ranch with the horses and cattle to take care of: our Eddie Hill's Fun Cycles, Inc. business (now in my 53rd year), and running my blown alcohol Pro Formula road racer, I probably won't be on this forum very much. But I'll answer a question on here if I can.

We don't get out of Wichita Falls, Texas, except to go to Hallett in Oklahoma.

When it is not our race week/weekend, Ercie and I normally work at our Fun Cycles dealership on Tuesdays and Thursdays-( we come in late, but make up for it by leaving early), but call to make sure we are there before coming by.

Cheers,

Eddie

I'll probably be down to Hallett the first weekend of August to visit family - my cousins own the place.

That "Brutus" appears to be after the change from M/T hemi Pontiac to Chrysler hemi. They ran the Pontiac less than two months- couldn't make the valvetrain live.

Racers did what they had to do back then to stay competitive. Besides the Pontiac racers, there were other guys racing other brands of cars who eventually did the same thing and switched over to Chrysler Hemis under the hood.

The front bumper on Don Gay's Tempest wagon was kind of beat up...I assume it was an aluminum one.

Dunnigan California adjacent to I-5. This lot was full of 50's Pontiacs at one time including a bunch of Safaris. Looks like he (or the family) has sold off almost everything.
