I found this Tempest for sale with a Round Port Engine installed. It seems well sorted. There's a nice shot of the underside showing the headers and everthing.

Side note: That looks like a really nice car, but a buy-it-now price of $82.5k seems optimistic for a Tempest. Wonder what bidding will take place and what the reserve is. That said, I know how easy it is to pay that much to restore a car to a similar configuration. Unfortunately, the owner will likely never make their money back on a Tempest. That's hard enough to do even with a GTO. Still, it's a very cool car.

I agree, not Dougs. They seem to be tucked in tight. I've spent countless hours on the 'net looking for something other than Dougs. Just as a comparison. Too bad the emblem is obscured.

Doug's header fitment D567
Tubular Automotive in Mass. makes a set, be prepared to cough up at least 1k for a set! Spoke with them, pipe costs have skyrocketed forcing them to up their prices!

Looks like Hedman headers logo to me (when zooming in on picture). Plus I think they are one of the few that offer the ball/socket collector instead of the standard 3 bolt collector flange.
I have a really old set of Hedman round ports and while they fit good and didn't require any hammering of tubes, they hung kind of low. |

Correct. Here's the reply from the seller to my query. He seems like a good guy.
"The headers are Hedman Husler part #35130. According to my research before the build these are the only headers that work with round port heads and a column shift automatic. I broke the engine in on the dyno with them in bare metal and had them jet hot coated before installing in the car. They worked as advertised for shifter linkage clearance. I did run a mini starter and aftermarket A arms so that helps the cause. I hope this helps!" I combed the internet for this Hedman part number and of course they're not available at this time. |

Looks like Summit estimates a ship date in early August. Jegs estimates around middle of July.

Haha. They lie.
Seriously, Summit and Jegs are pretty good with their lead times. Ram Air Restorations, not so much. |
