An ideal carburetor tune up is going to over fuel compared to fuel injection. There is no way around it. For me, stretching oil changes is not worth it. Especially on antique vehicles.
Over the past few years we have started to see engines using oil. For the longest time it was a non issue. Part of the equation is low tension piston rings. The other is extended oil change intervals recommended by the OE.
It's just not worth it to me personally.
