I ordered the 6000ELX to accommodate the lift point spread on my 62 Grand Prix. It is very heavy and moving it was almost impossible by myself. An online search tuned me in to a wheel kit and it is awesome. Now I can reposition my QJ by sliding it under the car just using my foot and pulling it out is a one-handed breeze. I got mine from Etsy and at the time they said it was the last one but it looks like it is back in stock again. It isn't cheap at $349 but it's a night and day difference for me when using my QJ. Here is a picture of my GP on the QJ and you can see the wheels are off the ground when the lift is actuated so the QJ isn't going to move. I have also included the link to Etsy. Not sure why QJ doesn't offer this. There are several other You Tube videos on making cheaper versions of a wheel kit but I love this one.

Well lo and behold, I have sold my 62 Grand Prix and no longer have a need for my 6000 ELX Quick Jack. If you are looking for one, I am willing to offer a sweet deal. The Quick Jack still looks like new and I have only used it to lift my Grand Prix 3 times for oil changes. I paid $1,972 for it and Quick Jack now lists it for $2,005. I am willing to sell mine for 1/3 off at $1,300 and I will include the $349 wheel kit that makes rolling the heavy Quick Jack around a breeze. It is located just outside of Green Bay, WI.

Well, my Sears 1 1/2 Ton floor Jack gave up last week; it got the car up. I worked the Trans Filter, then it let itself down. A real loss of HYD holding pressure.

Got a new aluminum Floor jack "Diehard" from ADV Auto zone. Has a lower minimum height which may be nice for wife's car.

Anyway, I bought the Sear 1 1/2 in 80-81 wheni was 14-15, and wonder about rebuilding the CYL? Are there kits? Sure i will go search but kit vs replacement CYL, or scrap?!

I rebuilt my old 1960s floorjack HIS. It was my Grandfather's. Can't recall the company but I found them by doing a search for the jack name and model #.
I do like my HF lightweight aluminum jack though...

The new Harbor Freight Pro series jacks are as good or better than Mac-Snap on etc.
They have really stepped up the game.
I'm also a fan of the Icon branded Pro tools.
Excellent.
