I dont put them away either, just a cover maybe but I am with locomotive breath no ice, snow, or salt I'll go out!

I just take mine to the wand car wash twice a year. But I also drive in the rain here on the occasion that it happens.

By and large, I don't clean them much. But that's a benefit of the desert. They get dusty and some road grime, but they don't usually get too filthy.

Of course only one of mine has a paint job worthy of keeping really shiny.
