Just talked to msd and they say the steel melonized gear that comes with this distributor "should be" compatible with a billet steel
Roller cam gear I have brass and poly gears on hand but if this $500 distributor has a good gear I'd rather not put a $125 gear on it any experience? I mean who is putting a $4500 efi set up on a flat Tappet cam? Lol Thanks

posting incase anyone has this same question. Butlers website clearly states the MSD Holley Engineers cannot confirm the gears will last with certain roller cams. I swapped the melonized gear out for a bronze one in its current configuration. Likely will get composite at some point.
