Anyone buy seat foam for 1970 standard seats recently?

Don't forget, no foam on the rear seats until mid 72...only burlap and cotton

Mine came from YearOne and seem to have been fine. Upholstery shop had no issues fitting the new covers on.

I thought ACI was the good seat foam to buy?

Some sell Camaro seat foam as Firebird (different indentations). I worked with Elliot at Knoch (a few years back) to produce the Firebird cushions.

Can remember 25 years ago, the avail repro foam seat buns for '70 seats did not have the correct listings in them for Firebirds. Had to be modified.

Local fellow just restored front seats in blue standard 1970 interior and used new foams.
Did it all himself and they came out nice. He sourced everything through NPD in Charlotte NC , no idea what brand/mfg the stuff was. But someone might could call them to verify their supplier. |

So took inspiration from forum member Keepat by redoing the seat frames, which were very rusty, before adding Legendary covers over Al Knoch foam (so much for the extra indentation on the front seat foam that separates Firebird from the Camaro!)
