Put my new tail lights on today. They were hands down the worst part of the exterior, so money well spent.

I managed to fit new Koni shocks to the rear of my 76 GP
Not easy to get a hand on the top mounting bolts .
This was my second attempt as now I have a hoist.
It had an old pair of air shocks that were very rusted along with the top nuts and bolts .
On the exaust side I had to use gas axe on the rusted bolts.
A few burns and small fire the shocks are fitted, now to test this log weekend downunder, I think that it will not get the death wobbles anymore , front shocks done.

Just been driving as much as possible. Season is coming to an end here soon so I drive whenever I can. She's been running really good so I'm happy about that. I've got a lot of other stuff to do so it stresses me out a little. But screw it, I drive.

Nothing, it’s my weekend to work.
But my son did go up by Green Bay to pick up a new motorcycle with my Duramax. He sent me a pic of my odometer. Just got broke in!

Washed the white and green ones today. They are both going to a Firebird get together at my buddys house next weekend. Had to pull the silver one out to repair my garage door opener. Figured I'd pop a pic while all 3 are out.

Well, the other night, while headed home from the local pizza joint I had been listening to a friend play some blues music, the spider gears gave up there life!
Got it home, and my son pulled off the cover to find pieces and chunks of the spider gears stuck in the ring gear!
I have an Eaton posi unit along with a new ring and pinion ordered.
So most likely, it won't leave the garage till next year.

Took my 400 Pontiac powered studebaker to a local cruise in this weekend that was part of a festival. Stretched its legs on the way home.

We've been fighting getting the lower control arms back in on the Ventura. I pulled the steering to make more room to get the bolts in since I was going to replace it anyway...not so fast. I learned Venturas use different steering parts than Novas to clear the Pontiac oil pan and exhaust. Apparently the right part interchanges with a 6 cyl '69 Firebird. I never realized how easy I had it for parts working on an A-body. I've been burned on the parts more often than not when I order from Classic Industries. I know better and should always stick to Ames, but their Ventura selection is spotty.

Sprayed a little epoxy primer on the front "nose" of my 67 GTO. Hoping to top coat the part sometime this week with SS SPI black.

My machinist finished the heads for my ‘69 400, in the meantime I decided to have him tank and hone the block and polish the crank. He lives quite a ways from me, so decided to do the pickup/drop off today seeing as how I was driving across the state to my son’s house anyway.
I traded my son an 8.5 with 3.90’s to go into his GTO for one of his welders.
So lots of driving today, but worth it!

It was a nice Fall day here in southern Oklahoma and I was off of work today. So I took advantage of that and cleaned some of the Pontiacs up and drove them around town.

Got my hood hinges back from having them refurbished and restored by Rowland Hall out in California. As you can see, he did an absolutely amazing job and they look factory fresh... and perform that way, too.
]

Finally got my hood aligned to good' nuff specifications. My hinges were badly worn and the passenger rear corner of the hood sat up too high while the gap between the fender and hood on the driver side was too narrow. I couldn't adjust out either one of those issues without exaggerating the other, but now I got it fairly well aligned. I could probably fine tune it more, but I need to learn to leave well enough alone before I scratch my paint or mess something up. These cars were far from perfect from the factory, anyhow.

She's ready to drive again after having stabbed back the trans, too! So far no leaks.
