Default Weird Dash Light Gremlin

Hi Anyone,
Dash Lights work when the ignition is off but turn the key to “RUN ” and even START position and they go out.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Don

It was the dash black ground wire at the pedal bracket.
It wasn’t grounding properly.

Glad you got it figured out, was gonna comment about a Ground issue, but not a 66 guy so was waiting for others to comment, but you got it handled.
Nice work. Bad grounds do weird things.

Grounds will drive you crazy. For most unexplainable electrical problems look at the grounds. Had a problem on an old truck recently. Turn on the parking or headlights an everything in the dash would come on. Turn indicators. high beam indicator, everything on made it look like Christmas. Activate a turn signal and it would over ride the signal and flash it all. Cleaned up the light grounds on the core support and that seemed to fix it all. I hope.
