Default Oil Dipstick tube length

I was hoping someone can post a picture showing their oil dipstick and the distance the pull handle is from the block. Mine has always seemed short and had to make a mark on the dipstick many years ago after each oil change. It was never an issue, and had always been on my own personal honey-do list to look into..

Figured after 30 years It's time.

Check the link below. I can get a picture of the distance between the dip stick and the block on the weekend if you still need that. I have a 69 & 70 GTO.

The tube is 7 7/8" long from where it enters the block to the end. The dipstick is 17 3/4".
Non-A/C 68 400.
