Ok, I have no idea what the asking price is, but I'll take a stab at it. This started life as a 72 Firebird, and not a Trans AM. Frame off, crappy front seats, missing front spoiler, scoop attached to hood and sits too high, rebuilt awesome engine (looks like whatever was in Marcellus Wallace's briefcase), and could really use a green chicken.

In the condition it's in with stuff to do, someone would be taking a loss to sell it to someone like me. If you could grab something like this for $30K, that would be a score, because a score is really all I'd be looking for, which is less than what it's worth. Damn the under carriage on this car is spotless. Looks great and is the best of the best, but dang man, start with a Trans AM. Someone needs to finish it and it wouldn't take much to get it to look like this...

69 GTO HO in SC at $7500 NR. Rode hard and put up wet, but it is a Ram Air car and will probably sell for more than the asking in its current condition just for the MN drivetrain. Green with a gold interior was probably stunning when new. No interior pics?

I believe that's correct. My first '67 Firebird 400 had the half clear wheel, and it was a relatively early production car with deluxe interior. I had the original window sticker, and it just included "deluxe steering wheel" in the list of items that were included with the deluxe interior.

My 67 with the solid color blue wheel is a very late production car (also a Deluxe interior car), 2nd week of June 1967. So it would seem early production Deluxe interior would get the 1/2 clear wheel?

Original engine and tranny long gone it says.
Some type of engine in it .... shows axle code but no engine codes.
Claims RA exhaust manfs but the one shown appears standard.

Anything over $2000 for that heap is a generous blessing

That's the first time I've seen those gauges and I checked them out in more detail, they're REALLY cool. I may have to add those to my SD and just put the originals on a shelf.

I'm kind of shocked you'd consider doing that. Wouldn't the "actual" mileage be in question if it was out of the car? My 69 Firebird 350HO convertible 4-speed has about 55K original miles. I bought a set of the "Speed minder" gauges for it, just because it's an extremely rare option. If I installed them, even with the original idiot light gauges, the originality of the mileage may be questioned, so I sold them this year. I do have an original set of stacked gauges with the original PCB dated 1969 for it, and if I install those no one is going to care that the originality is in question. Through all my travels combing junkyards in the mid 80's and car shows, I've only seen one set of original stacked gauges, and it was in a Ram Air car. I realize the gauges you guys are talking about look cool, but in a SD car?

Speaking of idiot lights, they rock. How often do you really watch the gauges to monitor the engine? If you do get caught up in driving and not check them for a bit, they'll let you know something need attention NOW! You typically have dial gauges too, so one vote for idiot lights.

67 Firebird in Indiana at $33K. Pretty sure we've seen this one before, bit when they don't sell and cycle through in time, the seller will probably be more motivated. Anytime rust repair is mentioned in the ad, it makes you question who did the job and whether or not it's extensive enough. Both of my 69 Firebird convertibles need quarter panels, but not much rust in other parts of the car.

yeah, nice thing about idiot lights is ignorant bliss. Water temp light triggers about 245*, oil pressure about 7 psi. Carefree motoring as they used to say.

You're probably right. This same car has sold three times, once for $27K and twice for $21K. This is somewhat odd, as the sellers that fish will list the car at NR, then pull the plug before it sells. Even if it is a Lemans, I think it's worth $21K.

Interesting car. I wouldn't be able to visually ID one, but I wonder if that's an authentic '69 T/A rear spoiler. It looks like it's probably been on the car since before they were re-popped. And the car was sold new in Detroit. If there was anywhere in the country where it was possible to know someone who had access to "the good stuff", Detroit was it in those days.
