Decided to go with the Dakota Digital offerings. I like the non-destructive install and honestly I don't really want/need the sequential stuff. Just a fast lighting full face tail light for safety. Thanks for everyone's input!

I have DigiTails in my 69 Firebird 400. They work great, and I love the sequential turn signal option.

The led panels solve that.

This poor video from last summer shows low beam and turn signal of the LED bulbs. The snapshot shows low beam of LED and stock 1157.
The left turn in the video shows the light is pretty evenly distributed for only $30 bucks. Not as pretty as the panel lights but okay for me.

If these bulbs fail on a road trip, I can quickly install some 1157s.

That's still a fairly big difference there. Another option for people that maybe don't want to do anything but a bulb change.

I did a quick search. Confirm with DigiTails but I think this is the "new" part number (see below).

Installed the Dakota digital tails this morning. Fit was great, installation is easy and aside from ditching the lamp sockets is completely non-destructive.

Highly recommended upgrade. There’s no missing the running lights or brakes lights in bright direct sun. Perfect safety upgrade for cars that get driven a lot.

Mine worked with the flashers I have in the car and standard bulbs in the turn signals. I did get new flashers and signal bulbs as well.

I didn't need the new flasher until I started changing every other lite.

The wife has already commented that it's so much easier to see the brake lights during the day. I think they look incredibly cool, but this was more of a safety exercise.

Didn't need to change the flasher, but with only the front traditional bulbs in place, the flash is a bit slower than I'd prefer and can sometimes be a little erratic, with the time between cycles changing ever so slightly. I'm kind of sensitive about that stuff, so I'll change out the flasher and front bulbs this upcoming weekend.
