I think the only difference between the 73-76 & 77-81 base plate is the trailing edge, and you can trim that off an make it work, but not sure. I think it is the later one I got, if need be, I can measure and take pics for you to compare?

I've used a bunch of different stuff. Weather stripping adhesive seems to work well, but I've used regular super glue in small amounts. I've even used just random adhesive I had laying around.

First round of primer taking place! Next up will be the sandblasting and detailing of the subframe, suspension, rear axle and leafs. Also going to take apart the trans and get it vapor honed to bring back the raw aluminum look.

Ryan/ Dave.. I am not sure if Mitch knows, but the Sides of the cowl, lower " A" pillar ( hinge area) AND the front air horn side area are BOTH painted car color on our cars.

Ordered the date coded glass today. I need to get the dash out to get restored, same with the gauge bezel. Also need to figure out what to do with the steering wheel.

Subframe stripped, blasted and body worked along with the rest of the front suspension. Same deal with the rear. Up next is the disassembly of the 12 bolt, which will get the same treatment.

So I need front springs. I have one original from the car, but unfortunately the other was broken. The good one I have still has the original tag on it. I can't read the part number, but it looks like it says FM in big letters, and the tag looks like it was blue at one time.
Any advice on replacement springs? I've screwed with a bunch on other TAs, and I always end up having to trim them to get the car to sit right.

If you'll use new, the Eaton with the 1 inch drop seem like the right height. I would NOT get the highest spring rating either. Keep in mind these cars ALL sat " about " and inch higher in the front in Stock form due to weight in front.
Never get generic springs for 67-81 camaro nova big block.
