What's the market for a 4-door car like that? $10K is a lot of money, so you'd have to want a 4 door. I see the 50's cars coming down in price, because their target market is dying off. I think muscle cars from 64 to 72 will always be special, but not sure about later years. Sure there are outliers, like a 73 Trans AM and a 77 Can AM, but the tweeners, maybe not so much.

66 Pontiac Tempest Sprint that was being restored before the owner passed. $1K NR in Washington. Looks like an estate sale and not a lot of pics.

77 Trans AM $10K NR $18K BIN in Texas. Looks like it has good bones. Claims it runs and comes with the original engine.

That is a good Question, and I agree with you. But a couple of my younger mid 30's coworkers that are car guys, have recently told me that most of my cars don't have enough doors. They like them, but they like 4-doors. One is a Subaru owner, and the other is a Ford guy with a last series Marauder. It made me think about 4-doors a bit more.

That is sure true about the 30s and 40s cars I just sold 3. So I suppose 50s are next for a price hit.

What about the 80s cars?

A real one...

This car has been for sale for some time and it's a low mileage bench seat 4-speed at $33K BIN in Virgina. I'd rather have this 4-speed real 74 GTO than a clone with rust for $10K and a $20K budget. Just sayin' I'd pass on the clone for the bad ROI. But, a 74 GTO hood isn't that expensive on eBay and neither is the shaker. I sold one last year complete for $600. Put a cheap paint job and an engine in it and have some fun with it. That could work, but I'd rather build a T/A.

71 Lemans T-37 at $46K in Florida. NOM 455 which is cool, and a wing which is not (IMHO). There's a lot of cars I'd rather have that this one for $46K. It was in a magazine, so it may be a real one and I'm sure it's a very clean car. One on my cars has a rare color, but some colors are rare for a reason.
