Yes. I'm very aware of the differences between the pre-67 and later style. Pre-67 covers on 67 and up heads need thick gaskets even with stock rockers. I'm using BOP neoprene steel insert gaskets...3/16" or maybe 3/8" can't recall. Anyway, they provide the clearance needed.

Currently using CompCams Magnum roller tips. They are noisy, but they fit fine under the cover. I'm exploring upgrades or downgrades (stamped steel) to remedy the noise. I know 2 options for SS roller rockers. Crower and PRW. Crowers are 2X the cost of PRW. Lightweight aluminum rockers require more space at the cover ends due to the wider body. Sounds like they don't work well with the pre-67 covers. A metal spacer would probably make it work. Same appears true for poly lock clearance. Shortys are a must.

I have crower 1.65 Enduros on reproduction valve covers with 3/8” thick neoprene gaskets on a set of 1969 #47 heads. Lift is .580ish, and at first not issues, but I do notice now some dimpling after about 1500 miles. I don’t know if it’s because I had the valve covers off a few times and the gasket compressed, or if I had some valve float?
