Congratulations. I'm planning to be not too far behind you.

I've been threatening to retire for several years now, but I want to finish a big project I've been working on for the last three years. We just shipped a couple of units to customers a couple of weeks ago, a few more are going out in early May. I will probably hang on until we've gotten through seismic testing and certification. That will probably be late summer.

What I do in retirement is a little up in the air. I wanted to move, the wife is not thrilled with that.

Congrats, Keith - sounds like a well-deserved break! I retired in late 2023 after 31 years in law enforcement, but it only lasted 2 months...hope to stay at the new job for another 4 years and then wind it down. I find I get more done when I have less time to do it, if that makes sense...

Congratulations Keith. I retired at 71 right before POCI Gettysburg. I was doing as you said. Wife got me involved at St Vincent DePaul (it's like Salvation Army) we help local people with rent heat gas etc. Prices for articles are real reasonable. Like new Microwave $5.00 to $8.00.anyway it has helped me,I inspect all the electrical,mechanical articles. After my wifes sudden death it has really helped me stay sane.i also im learning to dance,lessons twice a week.Dances twice a month. Model train club once a week. POCI local chapter events and mtg. What I'm saying watching tv and eating after retiring and my wifes death was is boring.

Not far - we've moved from Pontiac to just east of Lansing. This was our downsize/rightsize for retirement move.

So from one "Motor City" (Pontiac) to another "Motor City" (Oldsmobile!).

Chevelle is getting

1 - motor refresh. Slight bump in cubic inches from 572 to 580 and corresponding slight bump in compression. New cylinder heads and intake

2 - trans freshen

3 - New Quickperformance 9" rear; 4.10 pro gear set, rear disc brakes

4 - new headers. The old ones were rusted and falling apart.

Goal is 9.50's in the heat, according to my engine builder.

Keith, we used to work at your place in Farmington, the leaf party was big, we set up 3-4 shows for PT cars when they came over, there used to be a clay model cnc area, then it was gone. Cool place. Reliable ruined 3 Proto type cars once, they were able to save one for the show. Crazy.
