@peters23 and @Safari Larry. Now I need to figure out where to mount the power options relay (or maybe it's a cut out relay) switch (Delco 895-12) Could either of you tell me where to mount it? A pic of where it's mounted in your car would help.

I don't know what that power options relay switch is for or where it mounts. It must be for some electrical power option on the car. I don't recall ever seeing one -- but it isn't something I might pay attention to when looking under a hood. Just look for a couple of holes where it might have been installed.

That's what I tried to do, but there are no holes that match the bracket on it. I guess I could just drill a couple of holes in the fire will and mount it anywhere.

Can you trace the wires and see where they go? Maybe it was for some option you don't have and can just remove it.

Those relays were used for certain accessories, like AC, power windows/seats. I imagine they mounted them wherever it was convenient.
I'm not sure, but that relay might be the same as that used for the horn relay, which mounts on the core support, LH side of radiator.

My car does have A/C, but no power seats or windows. I'm going to trace it to find out what its for.

I believe that is the horn relay and it mounts to the core support up by the
battery. I had to unhook mine as it stuck and run the battery down.

I know it's not the horn relay, because it is nowhere near the core support, won't reach the core support, and there is already a relay attached to the core support for the horn. I'm working on figuring it out.

The only 57 Pontiac accessory I've found that uses a relay is the "Autronic Eye" headlight control. The relay is mounted next to the defroster box on the firewall. See attached from the 57 Shop Manual, p. 14-17. See Shop Manual Section 14 for completer description. It doesn't look like it has the same connectors as in your photo.
