I don't know why, but I laugh manically every time I see this blower on a traditional Pontiac. Anyone else?

Would the new accessory drive kit with AC fit in a 2nd gen Firebird? Any tests for shaker clearance yet? This looks so badass.

The numbers say yes is will fit, but I haven't actually tried it. We have someone nearby with a second gen TA that is interested. We offered to provide a mock up to test it out, and when this happens we will take measurements for the shaker hood placement. Likely we'll do a custom lid that allows for a shaker.

How well does the tensioner on the PS/Alt work there?

Currently, the tensioner wheel gets a little too close to the balancer pulley. If the belt comes off, it will hit which is not ideal.
To prevent this, we are rotating the tensioner clockwise about 5 degrees, which should put the tensioner about 1/2 way in its counter clockwise travel and not hit the pulley, with or without belt.

Darbikrash,
Any updates to share about the first initial blower motor install in the GTO or the 350 project? Thanks

Lots of activity in the shop. The 350P blower motor is waiting for a dyno opening and then we'll have some numbers on a small displacement engine with good cylinder heads. This motor has the mechanical water pump version of the front drive, with all accessories (alt, P/S pump, etc.) mounted. While this is not typical for a dyno run, I do want to test the new serpentine belt drive I developed for the standard water pump.
The kits are selling, and I am producing production kit components with a good stock of all necessary castings in house. It's going to be an exciting new year for the supercharger project. The initial test car ('69 GTO) is converting over to E85, it will be interesting to see how the numbers improve with this fuel. For the Pontiac folks that prefer N/A, I have a new product coming on-line that is pretty neat, the engineering is complete and it goes on the 5 axis in a few weeks. I'll post details and pics when I get a little further along.

Really appreciate the update.! I have a traditional Pontiac N/A combo in my car now. Excited when I heard about the supercharger . Cannot wait to see the numbers for the 350.
Considering I am currently N/A, I am really curious about your new product for the N/A folks. BTW, great job on the serpentine system.

Hi Darbikrash,
Any progress updates or pics on the new N/A product you mentioned back in December?

The supercharger kit is selling nicely, one car now with A/C running E85. Still not had the 350 on the dyno, setting on the stand dyno headers mounted waiting to go to the dyno. The N/A manifold is finished, now taking pre-orders if anyone wants one. I will be machining the manifold casting patterns in-house and delivering to the foundry so they can pour the production parts. Butler has expressed interest and they have stated they will put it on their website.
The manifold was developed as a N/A intake for Pontiacs w/EFI, but as you can see the opportunities for turbo, Pro-charger and TorqStorm are certainly there if someone wants boost. [/url]
