I had determined the base in my 68 should be blue & I had restored it back when this thread was started.
But what is making me wonder the color now is looking again at the picture Kurt posted above. You can see the base looks slightly darker than the adaptor?

Jack colors
That is a pic of my '68 HO 4spd AC conv jack equipment, PON built. I also have another '68 with all original jack equipment from the Fremont plant Let me know if you need more info, Thanks, Paul.
