I added the trim/molding to the opera windows on my 73 LeMans.
Seems straightforward, but there were some frustrations getting them on (see where my screwdriver ended up after I threw it across the garage) 🙃

Yes, the previous owner around 20-25 years ago put a 454 in it. I would had must rather had the original engine in it, but I have what I have at this point. My next Trans Am will be all original.

After a year of distraction by moving and other priorities, I finished straightening my front valance this month. It will need filler but considering the starting point and my low skill, I declared it good enough to prime for now.

Drove it.
Took a picture. Good enough for me.

Pulled the rear window out of my Firebird. I needed to know how bad it was and it wasn't great but I'm happy it wasn't much worse!
And bonus I didn't break the glass!

Finally installed the new front spoilers. Still fine tuning them but they look pretty good

Picked up a new, soft ray vent window assembly for my 67 GTO. Started on the headliner installation today...we'll see how far I get. Planning on being done by tomorrow....then I have to install the new carpet.

Got all the bows installed in the headliner and installed their proper positions tonight. Fun begins tomorrow when we see how the pulling/stretching, clipping and gluing goes.

We were down in LA for the weekend and stopped in at the Peterson. Minimal Pontiacs on display, but always a great visit. They had a handful of Harley Earl-era concepts on display. I was surprised at how rough the finish of the Bonneville Special is. Downstairs they have a fun display of cars from the '80s and '90s which included the old Pontiac Stinger concept.
We got the tickets to tour the vault too. Some cool stuff down there - arguably better than the actual museum upstairs.

I took the good car out for the 3rd drive since the rebuild of the rear end.
Everything seemed great! The 2-3 shift doesn't seem as loud as before, my guess is because the rear end is tight like it should be! Now just need to fix the emergency brake cable that has never worked since i got it in 2004! |
