Default 1967 GTO Convertible auction

Convertible, Air Condition, 4 spd. and Red Plastic Fender Liners.

Extremely early build.

Neat car!
Hopefully someone restores this correctly.

This car has the early design stainless rocker panel moulding without the lip that screws to the door sill …. as it should have.

Later style shown on the Fathom Blue car for reference.

Not too Bad.
I would lose the Truck Suspension and that Fugly Steering Wheel.
Fix the AC and leave the rest as is.

I agree with the above ^^^ except I’d go a little further.

I would have to reinstall the correct rebuilt WT engine with pancake air cleaner.
Find an Original worn custom sports steering wheel and worn shifter knob.

Now cruise.

67 WT makes sense. If you're going to make it more correct,
with 670s and an iron intake, it's a small but important step.
And it ain't a hard to find code. But I guarantee you would go
a little further, by replacing those door lock knobs. Maybe a
want ad for window cranks (yay, hunting parchment knobs!!)
And a RH quarter emblem, preferably original.

Personally, I am not fond of the white hood bulge. Would it be
like opening a can of worms? For sure. As long as there was no
carb fire, there ought to be some original paint lurking under
there. But it'd be way too pretty, which means you need to hit
it with the ugly stick a bunch of times, scuff through the color
in places. Which brings us to the craters where hood pins used
to live. Ugh.

I wish we could've seen what it looked like before new rims and
the fresh interior.

Seller states he has the Original engine that is tired and needs rebuilt.

If that’s true and it just needs a rebuild then hopefully the WT, 670 heads and intake are there to make this car more legit for the next owner.

Seems like it's going to pull a decent dollar amount.

I think it had 20" rims on it previously.

I spoke with the owner and requested to see the "Car Billing History" page from PHS and he said it was not included because it was not clear. I was hoping the CBH page would not only confirm the options but would also contain the EUN that would match the WT engine.

With less and less of these "survivor" cars out there, this one needs some love and saving. It would be a really cool car to take cruising and show.

Since this was such an early production car couldn't the pulls be original to the car?

The 4X4 stance is terrible, but easily fixed.

If you can get the EUN , and the block-heads-intake casting dates , and Carb ID
That would be good data.
We could also determine if the EUN is in good range for body date,
but on a 67 the date codes are usually enough to make the decision.

PHS usually includes a statement about the BHC being bad , and still includes a nasty copy of it.
Unfortunate when that happens.
The one for my 67 is the clearest one I have ever seen.

I asked the seller early in the auction if he had the “car billing history” card to verify this car and he said he didn’t have it.

I also asked this question today hoping to see photos of the supposed stored Original engine that needs rebuilt.

Very neat car if the engine is still here and it’s not broken.

Starting to sound like some baloney business to me.
Could be any year WT

PHS does usually include a note on cars with blurry documents , and a blurry copy of it.
I would want to see that statement at minimum , if I were a buyer prospect.

They can see them better in their viewer than the copy machine prints out.
And they decipher it onto an order form , which is normal routine anyway.
Point is , they could likely discern the EUN if asked by a paying customer.

I started questioning everything the owner wrote after
seeing it has 19670 miles on it. PHS shows Rally IIs, and
yet he claims those repainted steel wheels are original?
The floors are in great shape? Uhh, they were replaced.
The interior doesn't have rips or tears? Uhh, new covers.

I like the car, but the seller's antics make me wary.

Ended, did not meet reserve at $40,399.

Understandable, as the seller was very vague on many important issues with this car.

No idea how long they have owned it , but they should plan on having it a lot longer.

BTW, I asked last week for photos of the supposed Original WT engine with (date/stamping) that was tired and needing a rebuild.
He said he would take photos and get back to me …… sure 🙄

I can see why he chose Ebay. He probably would have been skewered on BaT.
