Took the RAIV TA for a spin, then the Super Duty and then the RAIV and then the 80 ..... The 80 is WAY faster! All in all a good weekend for "drive time".

this thing sounds so wicked. I didn't think it would sound like it does, nice lopey, crackling deep voice. It's actually my son's car that he bought at 15. He's 43 now LOL. I've been working on it since so this is the first time it hasn't been in my garage.

![]() ![]() I'll be doing a write up on the whole process. She's been through a few color changes. LOL TEASER 68 400, with Holley Sniper which so far has been Fantastic. Engine dynoed at 468 but with a 650cfm carb. Hoping for closer to 500 after full tuning.

We got the back bumper on and have completed our to do list for the drive to Arizona. The color match on the filler looks worse in the pic than it does in real life. The carb needs a little more love and it needs a wheel alignment the big work is done. Presuming we can get some seats to sit on, I think we're about as ready as we're going to be. While we're waiting on seats and mucking with bumpers, his buddies are in full on thrash mode trying to get engines in their cars for trip down.

Picked up another set of KR wheels for the '72 T/A. These are in better shape and have matching date codes that are more in line with the build date of the car. Seller had them listed on Facebook marketplace as 14x6's..

Got a friend who could stop by today. Helped me pull the hood off. Then I pulled the 6 banger. A little cleanup and the 421 will be going in.

Went and saw a man about some car parts. Now I have to find information on how to rehab them.

Not today, but spent most of last weekend checking valve clearances of the '26. It does have adjustable tappets, but what a nasty job. Access is terrible on flathead inline engines, with the manifolds pretty much blocking the view (and fingers) through the narrow access hole. I had thought I might explain the noisy valvetrain, but none were more than a couple thou loose. So it's still noisy.

I had a clock for one of my 66's sitting on a shelf. Took it off, cleaned it with brake clean, filed the points and about 36 hours later it's still keeping time. I'm curious how long it will run....

What I’m doing with my Pontiac, is selling a Chevy motor that we have, so that I can get a Pontiac motor. I’m expecting to get a good buck for this. It’s not rebuilt. It’s a crate engine that’s virtually new. We put this in our ‘66 for a bit when we had an issue with the OHC6 engine.
We’ll have this running on a temporary stand for prospective buyers. A nice running engine like this is pretty hard to come by around here, so I’m expecting a quick sale. |

Dropped off a repop RamAir IV manifold at Reher-Morrison for a little runner massaging. Number 1 had more of a corner than a radius on the final bend, number 4 had a low ceiling, and number 7 had a boss protruding into the roof. Nothing too severe, but enough to cause an imbalance between cylinders.

Take it to a local clock shop and have them lubricate it properly so it lasts a long 'time' ;-)
