I saw the yellow car at Barrett-Jackson in April in Palm Beach. I did not check part numbers or casting dates but I spoke with the owner. The original engine is in the car after having been out of the car many years while it was drag raced. The owner likes the Judge look for the Rallye IIs, I don't recall if he has the trim rings or not. The overall appearance of the car is excellent. One thing that bothered me is the engine color is a tad off; its not quite Pontiac metallic silver blue like it should be.

Did a Google and all it shows is a link to the BJ auction.
I think it sold for 150 range

PY member BLKBRD owned it in Florida.
He passed away and his brother handled selling off his cars ,
each one using a different sales platform.

The eBay seller's description seems to be pretty legit.

Like a nice guy . His car has a 55amp alternator SI as mine did on the PHS. I’ve seen a few of these now that all had the 700 alternator externally regulated
Seems as though they may have been swapped out as the 55amp 830 was prone to issues . It’s also been stated before that it appeared some never even came with the SI originally
Only way I could account for them
Turning up with the 55 amp externally regulated over and over.

Carb appears to be a correct carb center section at least w good date code. , believe it has a 12 bolt in it though. Car was a race car originally as were most RAIV cars.

I'm not registered on BJ to see the selling price.
Someone mentioned 150 in the other thread , I went with that.

I realize this isn’t very exciting but it relevant to this car and possibly some others here on the forums. A couple of previous relevant posts

Now when he quotes 830 here idk if he’s referring to the 830 55 amp Si alternator. But I have seen a few of the 55amp 830 SI PHS cars turn up with 55 amp externally regulated alternators and of course the corresponding harness. And the 830s are very rare and very hard to find seemingly very few actually made it into cars or were replaced under warranty This car shows the SI on the PHS and has a externally regulated as well Never really made sense to me people were going through the trouble ti swap a 55 amp SI for a 55 amp external. And date codes kept being correct for the car as well
My car was also this way 15k Mile car but had had an engine swap as the RAII shirt block was blueprinted and balanced
The year prior.

However even my back drive linkage was still in place. I found an 830 for my car after years of looking but I kept finding cars w the SI on the PHS and an external 700 under the hood .

I know, I thought 90K was a really good buy for a numbers matching RAIV car.

Sometimes when a guy gets a deal on the buying side he wants a home run and digs in. This guy paid $90k or so and he's been trying to sell the car for over half a year. Raising the price rather than lowering it over time. He is a dealer-flipper with mopars so this is out of his wheelhouse a bit.

On the plus side the body looks like a nice clean original but engine stamping pic looks a bit sketch, attractive but value hurting color. Funny coincidence is that there is another RAIV 4speed for sale in recent months that was originally Mayfair also, currently restored with Matador red. Color change hurts value but red probably adds value compared to yellow, it is done nicer than this one but less of a survivor quality. The red one has been for sale for most of the year, now asking $119k (last time I saw it).

Non-Judge RAIV cars tend to do poorer than you'd think at auctions, more in the RA3 judge money.

Red vs yellow. Who wants a resale red car I think that went out in the 70s how many new cars you see in red. , I’ve seen red cars take huge hits at auction in recent years over other colors. I dont think Mayfair is a detriment at all. Rare color. Milners car in American graffiti was yellow because it was a bad azz color :-) Kind of the original hit rod color .

That’s a steal for that car IMO numbers matching or not that whole numbers matching thing is nothing but a fallacy. Half the restored cars aren’t real anyway

As long as the engine is the same correct family there’ shouldn’t be any difference. Correct casting number. Correct date code is a plus.

As for what the guy paid who cares
What difference does that make all that matters is the cars value.
If his grandma gave him the car would you not buy it because he got it for less.
I never understood that mentality that I’d worry about what someone else paid or what they made on a car
Who cares.
It’s about what the car is worth

I haven't seen the block stamping on the Mayfair EBAY car , but was hoping to see it.
Where do they have it posted ?
69-70 Ram4 have unique qualities to the EUN.

The Mayfair/Matador has a genuine factory WW block that Poncho-Mike bought in the 80s.
Eventually he sent in for PHS and it came out of a 69 Judge Ram4 4spd 4.33 car sold new at Knafel in Ohio.
Mike eventually sold it to the owner of that car. Not original to the car , but real.
It is also a 4.33 car

For big money , Mayfair or Sierra are the last color I would buy.
Milners car was YELLOW , not pale poop yellow
