Is there any option for resistor replacement for a 1963 Catalina Safari? It's a 5 pin resistor for a factory AC car and I can't find ANYTHING online I can't even find a NOS replacement on ebay. I have been able to find the 64+ 4 pin resistor which looks similar. What's odd is pin 1 and M are on the same circuit on the bottom side, so maybe a 64+ would work and I just tag them together? I even tore apart the wifes toaster apart last night to make a new coil for it, but the nichrome wires weren't long enough.

4-pin resistor should be for heater only (non-AC). Edit: Looks like '64 was indeed different for the AC resistor. I'm not near my parts book (and won't be for a few more days), but if you can scrounge up the part number, check Phillips Musclecar Parts. Steve may just have a NOS one in stock.

Frank's had one resistor, but it shows "sold" at this point.

It took me about 6 hours of googling to even find the part number for this thing. As if the Safari wasn’t already hard enough to find parts for….

I’m working on rebuilding this one as a spare with nichrome wiring and I think I’ve found a guy with a NOS resistor. For now at least I have high speed for the winter.
