It might not sound exciting, but I plan on doing my ‘55’s interior this winter. The lady who I want to do it wanted to see the car in person before she gave me an estimate, and to decide if she even wanted to take on the job. She’s EXTREMELY busy, so it took her about 4 months to even make the 1.5 hour drive to my place to look at it.
She loves the car, and is actually excited to take on the job. She said she is kinda tired of the Mustang, Camaro, Chevelle scene, so this is actually interesting to her. Good to hear!

Installed the 4 speed shifter linkage and the back-up light wiring harness. Also the Z-bar and all the clutch linkage components.

Finished replacing the bad metal in the rear window ledge and started smoothing it out with some fiberglass filler.

Started to install my front bump last night on my 66 2+2. Noticed coolant collecting on the core support. Needless to say, that stopped my bumper install. Ended up removing the radiator. Going to radiator shop on friday..

Stopped by the upholstery shop. Front seat is getting there (cover laid on for pic). He centered up the plaid and aligned it with the back seat pattern. Something the factory apparently didn't do. The work looks great, but man, we're gonna be cutting it real close for our trip.

Getting ready to install the front windshield in the 67 GTO. Replaced the lower and upper pinchweld areas.....(Belden Speed patch worked well) just have to install the studs for the chrome trim.

Dropped off my radiator for the 66 2+2 this morning. Called me with the quote this afternoon. Replacing the core. $747. Could have bought new for that but this is the original. Said I could pick it up Wednesday afternoon.

Found a '73 Nova in an Oakland junkyard, so Cole and I took a trip to see if we could rob any parts off it for the Ventura. Mostly hoping to find a set of better sail panels. There wasn't much left that was salvageable, but in it's previous life as a hot rod someone covered the interior panels in black and grey corduroy. We took a peek under the material and the panels looked nice, so we took a chance.
After a few hours scrubbing off upholstery glue we were rewarded with some nearly perfect rear door and sail panels! Still flexible with hardly a mark on them. They'll be a nice improvement to the ones on the car. These are super hard parts to find because they were only used for '73-'74, the sun takes a toll on them, and they're not reproduced. Now to make them green...
