69-70 Ram4 have unique qualities to the EUN.

The Mayfair/Matador has a genuine factory WW block that Poncho-Mike bought in the 80s.
Eventually he sent in for PHS and it came out of a 69 Judge Ram4 4spd 4.33 car sold new at Knafel in Ohio.
Mike eventually sold it to the owner of that car. Not original to the car , but real.
It is also a 4.33 car

For big money , Mayfair or Sierra are the last color I would buy.
Milners car was YELLOW , not pale poop yellow
Got these from the seller.

I appreciate that.
It's not a good vibe at all to be completely honest .

The EUN is "too neat" . Those blocks were hand stamped EUN as opposed to machine stamped like all others.
Never seen a real one anywhere close to that neat.
It looks calculated.

It also appears the partial VIN is stamped down low near timing cover.
Hard to tell 100% for sure where it is stamped.
But Fremont would be stamped up high near the cylinder head in 69

For that kind of money - he needs to do some way better pictures of things that important.

I'd rather have an SR than a goofy footed restamp.
There are so many fakes out there now, hardly anyone knows what a real one should look like.

For comparison here is an early 69 production (late set 68) WT Fremont engine I’ve had kicking around for decades. I can’t find a VIN anywhere on the block. Ive seen that on early Fremont engines before.

I couldn’t get a good pick on engines in the car but I have three other Fremont cars built in Feb-July 69 and all have the VIN down low like other plants but with a very small and different font than the other plants.

The VIN on the car here in question looks more like font you see on Baltimore or Pontiac built cars.

By comparison here is a 350 2bbl VIN from a late (July 69) Baltimore LeMans. Double stamped and the letter looks like a P even though the car was built in Baltimore and this number matches the VIN on the car.

That's interesting about some low stamped Fremont blocks.
I never get any action on Fremont cars here in NC
But all the ones that get posted on here are up high.

Along with 69 Atlanta and 71 Framingham

Thanks for the info
The Ram IV stamping should look more like this , right?

Yes , that - or even a little worse actually in some cases.
Those digits look almost straight vertically.
That's almost too good , but we can only gauge things so far when covered by paint.

That original block that BLKBRD bought in the beginning must have been beyond repair.
And he/they made a replica for it.

I always like to see the EUN and VIN area down to metal (no paint) when considering a high value engine. Hard to fake those milling marks.

Here's another example of a '69 RAIV EUN/block code and ground-off pn and the back of the block (from a firebird).

Were the EUN’s on RA4’s stamped differently than on “regular” engines? I just assumed they’d grab a regular 400 block, install 4 bolt mains and restamp the pn accordingly. I recall seeing pictures of RA4 blocks where they only machined and stamped the second half of the cast pn.

Yes, both ways on the PN...half ground off, or the whole number, like this one. The RAIV's EUN's are always manually hand stamped, so always irregular looking.

On 1970 part number they usually just ground off the last digit . 4
And stamped to 5

When you see any - where the part number stamping looks calculated and uniform , versus random hit and run , usually another symptom of a replica.

On the EUN example given by Dennis
None of the digits are straight horizontally
And I would say only two digits might qualify as straight vertically
Textbook example

They can even be worse than his example.

Yes, I agree, I was a little suspect of the nice stamping as opposed to the staggered stamping on my 70 Trans Am XP block and also the seller is not a nice person. Thanks Again.
