Dave Vizard and Stan Weiss have a cam selecion SOFTWARE tool to optimize your combo.
Like $20 +$45 to rent for 2weeks or $350 to own. I will probably rent the SW to optimize my 421 for high-TQ Tow, mpg, least intense cam lobe life. Got 2 good cores to grind into the ideal profile. Got 1 unused cam that might be close enough.

I have a Comp roller that was ordered on a 110 LSA and +4 advanced. When I degreed it, several times, it was actually-4 degrees. Never would I not degree a cam.

The software only does SBC, SBF, and BBC with LSx in the works. Stan

Stan,
I assume to put my Pontiac 428 parameters in,head info in, then see the recommended cam profile ( forgettabout the CompCam PN). I can get a couples stock cores re-ground to that. Right? |

This program doesn't work like that. This a print screen from the LSx hydraulic roller cam under development. The whit background are inputs and the yellow backgrounds are outputs. Stan

what is the better situation?
with the pistons .020 in the hole, and a .038 edelbrock gasket this motor would be at 10.4 or 10.5 cr with piss poor quench area but the dynamic compression would be below 9. with .027 cometics it would be at 10.8 cr and 9.07 dynamic. which is the worse of the 2 evils? hoping it can be ran on premium pump gas, but this car maybe doing the e85 bit as well |
