Very nice, great collection ..... Years ago my father-in-law sold his 442 convertible and planned on buying a GS ..... He ended up with a 53 Buick , which we called a 53 GS

My first college roommate at GMI lucked into a 1971 GS455 Stage-I as the second owner. A retired gentleman had gone into his local Buick dealer and asked for a car he could tow an Airstream trailer with. So he got sold a Stage-I with a class III hitch receiver! The dealer was not about to lose a sale. The OO traded the car in three years later, never having bought the trailer, so my roommate got a great price on it since the dealer really didn't want a GS with a hitch sitting on his lot. That car was scary fast because the tires were so undersized for the amount of power it had.
Congrats on having something so special! |

Really nice car! A 70 GSX is on my list. Just have to finish other projects first.

very cool!
I am thinking of the (?)Musclecar Review areticle about the 1970-1971-1972 Buick GSX, and how production dropped off exponentially after 1970; I am guessing that the Stage1 cars are quite rare - do you have production numbers broken down by transmission for 1972? (or other years) There used to be a 1973(?) Regal Stage1 car that parked on the street in Lethbridge...
