Hi all,

Working on ordering a 6-speed Cadillac CT5 Blackwing.

The color choices are sparse. Currently planning on grey deep space metallic (dark grey), with tan/black seats.

Do tan seats go with gray? Not sure - I don't want black because I want the interior to pop.

Not super stoked on the grey exterior either but the other colors are worse (red, white, silver, bright blue, baby blue, green, yellow).

Any thoughts? Thanks!

In MHO, I think thats a great color combination. In today’s car world, there isn’t a wide variety to chose from.

That color looks hidden . Not adding any posture .
This R&T article says something about 160 colors for these cars , but I didn't look into it.

I think that's a nice combo and the tan interior would go with just about anything. Not sure about ruling out the 2 blue colors though.

i personally dont like grey / charcoal cars however pontiac made a charcoal gta and with the tan interior and gold wheels i loved it.
personally i would go red but you will be owning it so get what is most pleasing to you.
doesnt matter what color you get those cars are totally badazz

GM, having eliminated all other V8 sedans, I briefly looked at that Cadillac and liked that color. It seems a slightly darker version the Stealth Gray Metallic Grand Prix. I liked that interior but wished the tan accent was a little lighter color leather Pontiac used in interiors back in the mid-1990s.

I see a few other gray/tan cars on the website so at least its not too far out in left field.

I agree Gray is underwhelming from a pizazz perspective.... but none of the colors really grab me.

They are not offering the dark burgundy any more?

I have a friend locally that has one , probably a '24 or'25 with the carbon fiber kit in that dark burgundy & it is a really sharp color.

at 3.4 sec 0-60 times, it will definitely leave my XLR-V in the dust at 4.3!

I like that matte burgundy also - but that's only offered as part of the "curated by Cadillac" program - and the car is about $200k through that program.

There is a generic red offered for us common plebs.... its ok. Would need to wrap it to get that matte burgundy

GM has really sucked with offering a good color palette the last few decades. Every now and then they'll offer something cool, but mostly its the same old tired options.

At least they half assed tried with the V. Coastal Blue and Cyber Yellow are cool colors. I still dont know why they cant offer a true purple, an intense orange, or a true lime green. They keep resorting to filling out the color selection with million shades of grays and silvers across their brands.

Screwing around with the builder, I like:

Coastal Blue W/ Bronze wheels and blue calipers
Sky cool gray interior with black bolsters and red stitching
Carbon fiber splitter, rockers and rear spoiler

Didn't know it was a Matte finish. Not digging that very much.
200k seems like an 80+/-k upcharge. Pass

Personally not into Romeo Red cars , with only a few exceptions.

I've wondered if it's the manufacturers or the car-purchasing public driving the colors offered. Notice how 90%+ of vehicles you see today are black, white or some gray shade in between.

It's hard to trust the configurators on colors... you really need to see them in person (best), or photos of real cars (second best).
I checked a few online pictures of Deep Space Metallic, and it appears to have a blue tone to it. It looks fantastic, and I think because of the blue hue, the tan on the interior will work much better than it would with a pure grey.

Google AI has this to say about the color:
Yes, Cadillac's Deep Space Metallic has noticeable blue undertones, appearing as a dark gray in shade but revealing deep, dark steel blue tones when hit by sunlight, also containing gold metallic flakes for extra shimmer, described as a dark bluish-gray cosmic color.

I'm inquiring with the dealer whether there is any way I can get that matte maroon color for less than $50k.

I agree the available colors are hyper boring... someone was actually paid to select those colors.

I was out of the collision repair/refinish business before complete Matte finishes were put onto production cars.
It might be rather tough to get non-detectable repairs , matching the sheen.
Wet sanding and buffing minor defects would probably also change the sheen.

Can ask a friend that still paints at the Cadillac dealership how all of that is working out.
