Default SSLLLOOOOOOWWWWWW

Worst its been in a long time today... takes 30-45+ seconds to open any given category, then 15+ seconds to open any thread... then another 30-45+ seconds to post a thread or comment, its like dial up in the 90's... only slower!

Same browser as always, even tried a different one, all other websites & forums work like they should, lightning fast with zero issues, most other forums Im on are a lot bigger than PY too. & there are only like 30 people viewing the street section & single digits in all other categories so its not the AI bots like before causing this...

Exclamation

Concur !!
Total users is not a factor, so something else is slowing the response time.

As stated above, almost every other site I frequent is normal with no problems. Something with Cloudflare still hanging on or at the source of Performance Years. Or possibly a backdoor to the software vendor.

Please try to analyze and see if it can be fixed.

You guys dont love waiting for pages to load?

Seriously, this is the only site I frequent that seems to constantly struggle with basic operation.

No problem here. But, it did take about 5 seconds for the site to open!

I feel like a good crash has been coming for this site. It's going the same direction as other sites that had massive failures, and once that happens, they never recover.

Then everyone will stand around and ask how this could happen. There will be cries of lost valuable info, pictures and documentation. The site will turn into a ghost town, and eventually shut down completely, or get bought and absorbed by media companies that seem to hoard dying forums.

The cycle never fails to continue.

I agree B-man. Yes, it's slow. But more reliable than before. I am just happy there is a site dedicated to Pontiacs. So I wait.......and wait and am generally rewarded with working threads. I will miss it when eventually it goes away.. Kind of like the Pontiac division of General Motors.

That's a great way to maintain the user base.

I see no flaws with that logic.

My mother always said,'patience is a virtue'. All the knowledge here is worth waiting for. Some of those AI inspired pictures and messages are very disheartening. For me, especially what the truth is and what the novice young are being told.
