Got bad news from The House of Hotrods yesterday. The repro RA-IV intake was trash and just would not seal at any of the coolant passages. Vacuum leaks as well as the engine would heat up. Since my original Torker-I had the same problem from a major crack and Edelbrock doesn't have the Victor Junior in production yet, I decided to try a new repro from Classic Industries. I figure if there are issues, I can at least return it.

Wow! That's a bummer. I guess I got lucky with my repro intake.

Spent a good part of the day, on my back, under the dash working on the wiring for my 67 GTO. Looks like most of the sockets for my dash lights as well as a few connectors are significantly corroded and will require replacement.

Took the Goat out to cars and coffee this morning. The hills in the area are super green due to all the rain. Got home and noticed some damage to the Endura that wasn't there before I left
![]() Spent the rest of the day prepping the Comp for BaT in the coming weeks.

Weather went from snow a couple days back to 72 today so I epoxy-primed the rear valance. Will need some filler where I pounded out the dents but so far so good.

Having promised myself to look into the noisy drivetrain of my '26 this winter, I finally got around to putting the rear axle on jackstands and running it in gear. I think I've ruled out the rear end and U-joints- seemed quiet and didn't feel any vibration. Sounds (literally) like the transmission. It will have to wait until better weather since my heated space is too overcrowded to pull the transmission.
On a brighter note, I got a small 12v lithium battery (since the car is 6v) to power a portable GPS speedometer so I can compare the car's speedometer to actual speed- when the weather's better.

No idea. It wasn't like that when I left, but was when I got home so I think someone bumped it at cars and coffee. There were a bunch of folks hanging around it chatting for a while. Hagerty already got me an estimate, now I have to find a shop since the one that painted it has changed hands.
Yes sir ![]() I didn't do any Pontiac work this weekend as we were digging into the Javelin, but had what I think was the coolest driveway in the neighborhood. My wife disagreed.

I drove that everyday back in the early 90's ('91-'93) when I worked at Big O tires on Clayton rd.

Right down the road from me. I took the Ventura there for an alignment before our road trip last year.

I used to work with Danny and Jim. Both of those guys have been there for decades. Danny.. the manager.. was a mechanic when I worked there. Jim.. who is one of the sales guys... was a tire buster.
