I'm looking for an engine rebuild shop in the MA, RI, or NH area for my original 69 400. Looking for a complete rebuild and keeping it stock. Anyone know someone with Pontiac 400 experience?

I use R&L in Dover, NH. They are very good, expensive but good. Will be a long ride for you and you can check their prices on their website.

Stock block?, Do NOT deck the block aside from a clean up. Why make it so you have to mill the heads, and intake to all fit and not leak ?
Also Do NOT get an "Align Bore" for your crank. Why?' Because the front and rear Oil seals DO NOT MOVE up when the crank moves UP ( DRIP DRIP ) . Do you really want an undersize chain too? Make sure finished engine is SMOKED. R&L will do this. All just my opinion........ from experience....
