Getting things cleaned up! I'll have a couple places of touch up once the engine is in where I weld in the Front and Mid Plate brackets to the frame. This has all been pre-tested on another frame so it should go right in I hope. Later this week, the Engine goes in after a 1 year setback!

I finally got the car back on its wheels after working on the Front Suspension, Frame Mods and so on. I know I'm slow, but its been in the single digits here in MO for what feels like Months! New Shop doesn't have insulation so heating the space is like pissing in the wind!
Going to finish a few cleanup items then ill install the Trans with mid plate. This Engine/Trans has already been test fitted into another frame so my brackets should tack on exactly as the mock up was. Ill drop the engine in and tack in the front plate mounts. Once everything is pointed at the rearend correctly, Ill burn it all in.

Im making progress, but have no real update other than the engine is settled into the car. I should have the mounts installed and welded up this week so it will be fully installed but just wanted to give an update. Engine is not level or where it will actually be, ill get it straightened up in a night or two this week.
I have a Rhodes 4130 Radiator Support, Ill install so those brackets come off at the fenders. I'm so Jazzed about the Stance, but rear will come down a little and front will have to raise up to clear Potholes and junk. Front Camber also needs addressed:

Yes, I also narrowed my 9" housing - Its 57" brake hub to brake hub. I'm running an MT 275 Drag Radial Pro.
I'll be getting back on the rear of the car soon to cover those details.

Inching along with progress, since its March, I now have a goal to have it done so that I can have Easter at my place this year and I need time to clean the shop for hanging out and eating.
Engine is mounted with mid plate brackets welded in. Headers are installed, rad support mocked up with plumbing items in place. I am starting to plumb everything and waiting for my new Tig welder to show up to burn in the tabs and 3/8" chromoly tubing to the Rhodes Rad Support. Almost wish I would have made my own rad support to push the Rad forward a bit - I have no room to turn the engine over by hand, but the car has a mandrel that cannot turn it anyway as I need to upgrade to the new Tin Indian mandrel with splined front coupler with wrench flats milled into it. Look how tight the fans are to Mandrel: (rad doesn't sit symmetrical in the rad support) The surge tank is mounted asymmetrically as well, but the mounts turned out neat. Need to burn it in, this is just mig tacked at the moment. I have no clue why I took a photo here, you don't see the right hand tube installed... Here's the tube that mounted the right side of the surge tank, Ill get better pics of the whole process when its back out to burn in. I will also show how I mounted the bottom of the radiator with tube and bent 14 gauge sheet metal.

Another small update but a major milestone! Radiator is in with all of its mounts tacked in place, Accumulator and Clearview Oil Filter is in and tacked. Now i can concentrate on plumbing mock up. I'll have to remove the rad support and fully Tig weld everything but I can do that just before final install of Plumbing.
Got a photo of the asymmetrical fuel surge bracket i installed. More view of the other junk installed. Top plate will get dimple holes and PC shiny black. I need to clean up my "Tool Tray" bumper support and I'm also adding hood pins since I'll no longer have a heavy latch up front.

EMS Hood Hinges. I'll tell you this, I would NEVER buy billet hinges before I bought this car. Since it came with them, the hood closes SO Smooth! Shuts perfectly, and so damned smooth! They will sit where you put them to, like barely open and so on. Definitely would put them on any other car I own.

Supercharger is somewhat on, plumbing is happening as well. Seems like not much of an update, but things get in my way constantly - now hosting Easter in my Shop so Grandpa has to wait on the car! LOL
Absolutely no room in front of the Mandrel!

Im progressing, but not updating the build as much because its boring stuff.
I finished one of the Mini Tubs and fit the framerail closeout for the second one - should have it done one night this week. I have a car show/burnout night in 2 weeks that I plan to have it done and running for. I need to get to work. Right rear is fully welded in, ready for seam seal: Need to seam seal inside and ill paint the trunk with spatter to make it look nice. Love the AMD Mini Tubs, they fit really nice with Jubee Mays from Amayzing Metalworks on youtube, he has the best fitting closeouts and sells this as a kit, way cheaper than DSE mini tubs. I'll re-attach the trunk hinge support to the tub and remove that brace I have in place.

I've been having the New Engine Swap Blues lately and progress is slow, but today we finally ran the engine for more than 30 seconds! She sounds sooo good.
I was chasing a lifter problem, had debris in one and its plunger was stuck, but got it working now. Then i had a major electrical issue and burned some wires, so dash was all out checking everything and it turned out just being alternator big wire was shorted against its case. Now, I have 2 minor problems that ill deal with - my Autoplumb fitting for 16an blew off the bottom rad hose inlet on the timing cover - probably because I cut the bead off the timing cover and it just finally slipped off once we shut the engine down. Secondly, front mount fuel cell is leaking around the lid so we only ran booster pump long enough to keep it filled so the belt pump has fuel. Need to retorque the heads, run valves one more time just to make sure I had lash set perfectly, then fix the issues and finally take it for a test drive. Baby Steps!
