Default Richmond 5 Speed

Putting linkage on to make a new tunnel fit properly. I’m not sure whether the front rod mounts up or down. Conflicting pics on line. Pic I got with the trans shows lever up but exploded view shows lever down which makes more sense.
Anyone running one?

Pics for example and clarity.

Picture 2 is correct. It goes up. I have pictures of my 65 Cat but I don't remember how to add them to a post...it has been a while.

Thank you. Finally someone who actually has this transmission installed! Are you happy with it?
