Hmmm, you need to find out what you are allergic to. Not an allergy test. Home air and foods:
Thinking house mold. Some ideas: house humidity level, Central AC duct and filter cleaning. Basement water causing mold. Garage mold, car interior mold. Vacuum cleaner exhaust. ( central vacuum was my big thing to get/use for awhile ). Remove Processed foods, dairy foods, zero-sugar sweetened bubbly drinks and candy bars. Aim for gut health, re-establish gut health. non-cyanide B12, vit D, C, good veggies for magnesium instead of magnesium pills. Eggs for breakfast with real butter real olive oil. Lunch could have Tune, Smoked salmon, chicken. Dinner good beef steak, green beans. May be okay to have fermented dairy like plain/vanilla yogurt, hard cheeses, and maybe cottage cheese. |

Just read that GERD causes asthma and sinus problems, and that Prilosec and any other acid-reducing med worsens the gut which makes the sinus deal worse.
That the easiest solution to GERD and acid reflux is "no nighttime snacking". So the esphagus spincter can be closed and stomach acid rebuild. That enhanced stomach acid greatly reduces asthma and sinus problems. Anyway, that was my morning coffee read. https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/e...id-reflux-scam |

No reflux problems, never. I avoid foods causing mucus. Dr says it's just my system.Sometimes I'm fine. When I'm out mowing, etc I try to wear a good mask to reduce pollen intake. All those years working construction, dirt, hot humid days, building, roofing, dust etc. Maybe its those things.

Bob, I have had plugged up sinuses since mid April; it is NORMAL for people living in the Ohio River. My daily regimen is three cetrizine in the morning, two blasts of Nasacort, and three levocetrizine at bed time. The allergy shots didn’t work for me.

This week I'm out mowing. Wearing a mask trying to keep out pollen. I was dancing on Sunday pm. So it's better no stuffed up.

I feel for you sdbob.
I never had issues until the last few years. Something here this Spring really irritates my eyes, perhaps this fine dust blowing up from the Sahara we have been getting? Does not seem to bother the locals. |

The locals have acclimated to the dust; it has been blowing across the Mediterranean and onto the Iberian Peninsula for the last few millennia.

Hmm. I didnt know that,or thought about the dust. Take care of your health. I know the masks I'm using are probably very minimally helpful. They seemed too help.

Come down here to south Georgia. Allergy season only lasts 11 months and 3 weeks. I take a prescription Zyrtec every morning.

Yesterday I took 4-4 hr sudafed, 4 - 400 mg guaifenesin, 2 Zyrtec, flushed nose with saline 4 times and still felt bad. The meds barely touch it. This has been my daily ritual for far too long.
I went from having allergies a couple months out of the year to having allergies year round. Going to an allergy MD next month. I figure it will be my luck that I'm allergic to hops, barley, and yeast. That would suck.

I get my Zyrtec over the counter. Is there a better/stronger Prescription Zyrtec?

For many years I suffered with a occasional but persistant coughing issue. It would happen in either late Fall or early Spring.
I presumed it was an allergy issue. It was so bad at times I went to see a pulmonologist. This went on for years until I mentioned it to a new Primary Care Physician. He suggested this was my issue..... Silent acid reflux, medically known as Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR), occurs when stomach acid travels up the esophagus and irritates the throat and voice box. Unlike classic GERD, it usually doesn't cause heartburn. Instead, it presents as subtle, daily throat irritation. Because LPR affects the upper respiratory and digestive tracts, symptoms are often mistaken for allergies, sinus issues, or a lingering cold. He was correct. Prescription Omeprazole 20MG DR Capsule 1 capsule twice a day, AM and then PM solved it for me. .

Change you're diet.
Nobody ever had that many years a go, now it's a major issue, it's usually related to the crap we eat. Doctors are mostly just prescription writers nowadays.
